Megan & Brian- Saybrook Inn and Spa Wedding

wedding date: June 17th, 2017

Megan is a detail girl who throughly enjoys making timelines, and details lists. She thought of many tiny details to make her’s and Brian’s pink and navy wedding come together. And as much as Megan had said, she had the “trendy 2017 wedding colors” her and Brian’s wedding had so many others that made their day stand out. For starters, all of the groomsmen had their cufflinks engraved with their initials and Megan wore her late mothers wedding band down the isle. From the raw and gelato bar to the custom made corn hole and bean-bags, no detail went missed. Megan also had stunning touches of intimate details for friends at the head table, custom gold wooden plaques with their names on their seats.

They met thought a mutual friend and went on a few dates before Megan finally decided to bring Brian home to met her dad. When her dad first met Brian, he had many important questions for him. Even though he struck out in all of the first 3 important questions, 1. What hockey team do you like? 2. What baseball team do you root for and 3. What football team do you follow,… Brian still earned a stamp of approval from dad.

They planned on holding their wedding outside at Saybrook Inn and Spa, but the weather had other plans for us. Everything was moved inside and after having their first look on the docks and being eaten alive by #gnats (the bitting kind) we were all OK moving indoors. As Megan said, “it is what it is” and the indoor space was just as beautiful with a dry view of the water in the background!  The cocktail hour was moved indoors, along with the the raw bar that Megan’s dad was very excited to make sure they had on their wedding day! Brian and Meagan’s wedding carried on through the evening with rocking band entertainment provided by Arial Band and a gelato bar towards the end of the night. Saybrook Inn and Spa provided a beautiful backdrop for a romantically foggy wedding day! I hope they are having a blast on their honeymoon to the Galapagos Island! Cheers to the many years to come!
