Tony & Nicole- Club at River Oaks Wedding

Wedding Date: October 8th, 2016

Tony and Nicole’s wedding week started with the possibility that a hurricane could hit CT on the day of their wedding,… thank goodness that Hurricane Matthew decided to turn out to sea. The last time I was at this venue, I was second shooting for another photographer, and that crazy October snow storm hit that day!

Her morning started with notes…. notes all around the house to tell her why he loved her. In the hunt for notes (that she had a hard time keeping up reading because there were so many), there was a package of more notes to open at their first anniversary. Notes that he wrote to her expressing why he loved her so much and why every part of their relationship was meant to be. She was dating someone else when they became friends. She took a risk and followed a path that included him. He proposed to her at school, with her students & coworkers in on it,… it could not have been more straight out of what every girl would dream of, straight from the lines of a movie!

His morning started with a round of golf with his friends on the course at the Club at River Oaks and followed up with a gift from her. A gift of matching Nikes that had Mr. & Mrs. embroidered on them. He could not wait to see her at their first look.

Their first look was perfect…. and then her lipstick stuck to him…. her beautiful, red lipstick…. it was cute, and emotional, and perfect. Then we headed out for a ride on the golf cart through the stunning grounds of the Club at River Oaks.

Their mutual friend married them, they wrote their vows for one another, and there was not a dry eye at the ceremony. Their vows were so well written that both Tony and Nicole had a hard time reading through them. They were perfect.

Their party continued on the patio for cocktail hour followed by the most grand entrance I have ever witnessed as a wedding photographer. Each member of the bridal party had a unique entrance followed up with a shot of fireball on the dance floor. The bride and groom also had a surprise up their sleeve, a choreographed 1st dance that cut into their romantic slow song- no one saw it coming! Their night was a non-stop, fun party! Here are my favorites from their wedding day, congrats to the newlyweds!
